Timme Mackie moved to California at the end of 2022 after serving as the director of digital engagement on a nationally recognized U.S. Senate campaign. Her political background is rooted in a passion for advocacy and social justice. In 2023 she joined the California State Assembly as the communications director for the 41st District and former Assemblymember Chris Holden, where she grew to know and love the Altadena community through service. As a native of New Orleans, she knows all too well the devastating impact of natural and preventable disasters and has experience working in hurricane relief. She seeks to be an asset to forgotten and underserved communities in all of her work.
Timme has a B.A. in international studies from Spelman College and a M.A. in TV, radio, & film from Syracuse University. She is a self-proclaimed yogi, poet, and proud cat mom.
